Oh Dear pricing is a flat price per site with every feature on every plan. In US dollars on monthly billing it runs from $17 a month for 2 sites (Solo) to $439 a month for 200 sites (Scale), with Studio at $109 for 25 sites and Portfolio at $275 for 100. Yearly billing gives two months free. Users and status pages are unlimited. What the price does not include is a phone call: Oh Dear has no native voice alerts, and its SMS runs through a Vonage account you open and pay for yourself.
That last point is the one most pricing summaries skip, and for an agency with client sites it is often the line that decides the real monthly bill. Below is the full tier ladder, the cost per site at each step, what sits outside the price, and the sizes where a flat plan with calls included comes out ahead. If paging is the gap you are trying to close, the Oh Dear alternative with phone call alerts page covers the switch in detail.
Oh Dear pricing for every plan
Every figure here was read from ohdear.app/pricing in October 2026. US visitors see dollars and EU visitors see euros, and both exclude VAT. Yearly prices are ten times the monthly price, which is the "two months free" Oh Dear advertises.
| Plan | Sites and servers | Monthly | Yearly | Cost per site, monthly |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Solo | 2 | $17 | $170 | $8.50 |
| Solo Plus | 5 | $32 | $320 | $6.40 |
| Freelance | 10 | $55 | $550 | $5.50 |
| Studio | 25 | $109 | $1,090 | $4.36 |
| Agency | 50 | $165 | $1,650 | $3.30 |
| Agency Plus | 75 | $219 | $2,190 | $2.92 |
| Portfolio | 100 | $275 | $2,750 | $2.75 |
| Portfolio Plus | 150 | $365 | $3,650 | $2.43 |
| Scale | 200 | $439 | $4,390 | $2.20 |
| Enterprise | 200+ | Custom | Custom | Quoted |
There is no free plan. There is a 10 day trial with every feature and no card required, a 30 day money back guarantee, and you can cancel at any time. Sites and servers share one allowance, so a client with a website and a monitored server uses two of your slots.
What one Oh Dear site includes
The per site price is easier to judge once you see how much is inside one site. Oh Dear sells one product at different sizes, so a Solo account gets the same features as Scale:
- Uptime checks every minute, with every failure confirmed from a second location before the site is marked down
- SSL certificate monitoring, including certificate transparency
- Broken link and mixed content crawling
- DNS record monitoring and DNS blocklist checks
- Cron and scheduled task monitoring
- Performance tracking
- Unlimited status pages and unlimited users per team
- Branded monthly client reports
- Notifications to email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, Discord, Telegram, Pushover, ntfy, webhooks, PagerDuty and Opsgenie
For a web agency that is a strong bundle. Bought separately, a link crawler, a DNS watcher, a cron monitor and a status page tool would each be another subscription. On a cost per site basis Oh Dear is one of the better values in the category below about 100 sites, and that should be said before anything else on this page.
What is not in the Oh Dear price
Two alert channels sit outside the subscription, and both matter when someone has to be woken up.
Phone calls. Oh Dear does not have native voice call alerts. Its own SMS provider FAQ says it plainly, and none of the built in channels rings a phone. The usual fix is to send Oh Dear alerts into an on-call product. PagerDuty's Professional plan is $21 per user a month on annual billing or $25 on monthly billing, with phone and SMS included. PagerDuty also has a free plan for up to 5 users with 100 SMS and phone notifications a month, which covers a quiet small rota but runs out quickly on a busy one.
SMS. Oh Dear sends texts through Vonage, formerly Nexmo, and it is the only SMS provider Oh Dear integrates with. You open a Vonage account, create an API key and secret, paste them into Oh Dear, and every text is sent and billed through Vonage. Twilio, AWS SNS and MessageBird are not supported directly; Oh Dear's documentation suggests forwarding its webhooks to your own code if you use one of those. The Vonage charges are small, but the account is one more vendor, one more card and one more credential that can lapse without anyone noticing.
Oh Dear cost for an agency that needs phone calls
Here is the comparison an agency actually makes: Oh Dear plus a paging tool for a three person on-call rota, against a monitor where calls and texts are part of the plan. PagerDuty is priced at its Professional rate for three users. TrackDowntime is priced at our list prices, Professional for 25 endpoints and Enterprise for unlimited.
| Client sites | Oh Dear plus PagerDuty, monthly | TrackDowntime, monthly | Oh Dear plus PagerDuty, yearly | TrackDowntime, yearly |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | $55 + $75 = $130 | $99 | $550 + $756 = $1,306 | $588 |
| 25 | $109 + $75 = $184 | $99 | $1,090 + $756 = $1,846 | $588 |
| 50 | $165 + $75 = $240 | $299 | $1,650 + $756 = $2,406 | $1,788 |
| 100 | $275 + $75 = $350 | $299 | $2,750 + $756 = $3,506 | $1,788 |
| 200 | $439 + $75 = $514 | $299 | $4,390 + $756 = $5,146 | $1,788 |
Read the table with three caveats. First, the 50 site row on monthly billing goes to Oh Dear, even with paging added, so the flat plan is not always cheaper. Second, an Oh Dear site covers many check types while a TrackDowntime endpoint is one URL with an HTTP check and SSL expiry, so a store might count as two endpoints with us (homepage and checkout). Third, if your rota is one person and fits inside PagerDuty's free 100 notifications, the paging column for Oh Dear drops to zero and Oh Dear wins every row up to about 100 sites.
Without paging at all, the comparison is simpler. Oh Dear alone is cheaper than our plans up to 10 sites, close at 25 ($109 against $99), cheaper again at 50 monthly ($165 against $299), and more expensive above 100 sites monthly or above 50 sites yearly, where Enterprise stays at $299 a month or $149 a month billed yearly no matter how many endpoints you add.
Is Oh Dear worth it?
Yes, for most agencies that want breadth. If you need certificates, broken links, DNS, cron and status pages watched for every client, and alerts in Slack or email are enough, Oh Dear's per site price is fair and the all features on every plan model removes the usual upsell. It is hard to assemble the same coverage for less.
It is a weaker fit in two situations. The first is when a person must be phoned during an outage and you do not already pay for an on-call tool. The second is a large portfolio, because Oh Dear's price keeps climbing in steps past 100 sites while a flat unlimited plan does not. Agencies that bill monitoring to clients inside a retainer feel both: the cost goes up with every new client, and when an outage does hit, the client expects a fix before they notice. If chasing unpaid retainer invoices already eats your Fridays, paying for a second paging tool on top of monitoring is a cost worth questioning.
How Oh Dear pricing compares with other uptime tools
Oh Dear sits between the cheap per monitor tools and the expensive enterprise suites. UptimeRobot and StatusCake charge less per monitor but count fewer check types per monitor. Better Stack charges per responder license for phone and SMS. Pingdom, Uptime.com and Datadog bill per check and get expensive past a few hundred. Our uptime monitoring pricing comparison lines up eleven vendors by cost per site and by how each one bills alerts, and the Better Stack pricing breakdown shows how a per responder model compares with a per site one.
The honest summary: Oh Dear has the most generous feature set per site of the agency focused tools, and it is priced by site count only. Its one structural gap is the phone.
When a flat plan with calls included makes more sense
TrackDowntime is narrower than Oh Dear. It checks HTTP and HTTPS endpoints with expected status codes, timeouts, redirect handling, custom headers and SSL expiry, from a single location. It does not crawl links, watch DNS, monitor cron jobs or host status pages. What it does is ring phones.
On Professional ($99 a month or $49 billed yearly, 25 endpoints, 60 second checks) and Enterprise ($299 a month or $149 yearly, unlimited endpoints), every phone number attached to an endpoint gets an automated call, an SMS and an email at 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 minutes, then at 2, 4, 8, 24, 48 and 96 hours, until the check passes. Nothing is billed per message and there is no SMS account to connect. Each incident is stored with its start, end and measured duration and exports to CSV for the client report. The phone call downtime alerts page shows the escalation in detail, and website monitoring for agencies covers per client setup.
Many agencies run both: Oh Dear for the slow problems that can wait until morning, TrackDowntime for the handful of URLs per client that cost money every minute they are down. You can create an account and add your first endpoint in about a minute, then run the two side by side for a week.
