Checks as often as every 60 seconds, from outside your hosting

Website downtime checker that calls your phone when a site goes down

TrackDowntime checks any website or API as often as every 60 seconds. When something stops responding it emails you, and on Professional and above it also calls your phone and texts you, then keeps alerting until the site is back.

Recovered after 5 min 04 s outage

Every check records the status code and the response time, so a slowdown shows up before an outage does.

Complete site uptime monitoring

An uptime monitor with instant downtime alerts and response time history. Everything needed to track website downtime and prove what happened.

Site uptime checker

Monitor every website and endpoint you run in one list. Live status, response time and uptime percentage at a glance.

Downtime monitor alerts

A failed check triggers a phone call, an SMS and an email, and the alert repeats until the endpoint answers again.

Website downtime tracker

Every outage is logged with its start, end and duration. Export the history or read it as a chart.

Response time tracking

Each check stores the status code and the response time, so a site getting slower is visible before it goes down.

Web uptime monitor

Checks run from outside your hosting, so the result is what a visitor gets, not what the server thinks.

Escalating alerts

Alerts repeat on a backing off schedule until the site is back, and recovery is confirmed with its own notification.

Get a phone call when your site goes down

Email and SMS lose to a silent phone at night. A failed check places an automated voice call, so downtime reaches a person even when nobody is at a computer.

Instant voice alerts
The call is placed as soon as the repeated check confirms the endpoint is really down.
Nobody sleeps through it
Calls wake the person on call, or go to whoever is responsible that night.
Emergency bypass ready
Calls come from a fixed number, so you can allow it through Do Not Disturb.
Repeats until recovery
The alert comes back on a backing off schedule until the endpoint answers again.

Alert timeline of a single outage

  1. 09:41:03 Check failed Endpoint answered HTTP 503 instead of 200
  2. 09:41:12 Failure confirmed Check repeated after a short delay, still failing
  3. 09:41:15 Phone call placed Automated voice call to the on call number
  4. 09:41:16 SMS and email sent Same incident, same reference number
  5. 09:43:15 Alert repeated Endpoint still down, call placed again
  6. 09:46:07 Recovery confirmed HTTP 200 in 210 ms, outage logged as 5 min 04 s

Every incident keeps this timeline, so the outage length in a report is measured, not estimated.

Professional website uptime monitoring

Most teams think about website uptime monitoring for the first time during an outage. By then the customers already know. Monitoring exists to reverse that order: the alert arrives first, the fix starts before anyone writes in.

A check that runs on the same hosting as the site cannot tell you the site is unreachable. TrackDowntime checks from outside that hosting and records the result of every single check. That history is what turns a vague feeling that the site is slow into a number you can act on.

It works the same way for one site and for a hundred: the same endpoints list, the same alerting rules, the same reports.

What every check records

Status code
HTTP response of the endpoint
Response time
Milliseconds, kept for the full history
Timestamp
When the check ran, to the second
Outage length
From the first failure to the confirmed recovery
Alerts sent
Which channel fired, and when

Advanced site uptime checker

Add the addresses you care about, pick how often each one is checked, and the site uptime checker takes over. Websites, APIs, checkout endpoints, admin panels: anything that answers over HTTP can be watched, and each endpoint keeps its own history and its own alerting rules.

How the website uptime checker works

Each endpoint is requested on its own schedule from outside your hosting. A single failure is not treated as an outage: the check is repeated after a short delay first, which filters out momentary network noise and keeps false alarms out of your phone.

Once the failure is confirmed, the incident opens, alerts go out, and the clock starts. It stops on the first successful check, and the recovery notification carries the exact outage length.

Downtime tracker that tracks downtime with precision

The worst way to learn about an outage is a customer email the next morning. The website downtime tracker records every incident as it happens, with its start, its end and a measured duration instead of an estimate.

Track downtime automatically

Incidents are opened, timed and closed without anyone touching the dashboard. Each one keeps what failed, when it started, how long it lasted and when recovery was confirmed.

All endpoints sit in one place, so a pattern across several sites is visible instead of buried in separate tools.

Track downtime history

History is kept for every check, not only for failures. An outage that repeats every Tuesday at three in the morning stops looking like bad luck once it appears in a report twice.

Reports show what failed and when, which is also what an SLA conversation with a client or a hosting provider needs.

Website downtime monitor

A downtime monitor is an early warning system. It watches the endpoints you depend on, confirms a failure with a repeated check, and tells the right person immediately. Aiming at 99.9% uptime only works if the missing 0.1% is caught in minutes rather than hours.

Monitoring

Website uptime monitoring software, without the setup project

Monitoring software tends to fail in one of two directions: an enterprise console that needs a week of configuration, or a free checker that emails once and gives up.

TrackDowntime sits between them. Paste the addresses, choose the interval, add the phone number that should ring. Setup takes minutes, and the parts that matter during an incident, confirmation, escalation and history, are already on.

Why you need an uptime monitor

Revenue

An hour of downtime on a checkout page is an hour of orders that never happen. Catching it in minutes is the cheapest fix available.

Trust

Customers forgive an outage they were told about. They remember the one they discovered themselves.

Performance

Response time history shows which endpoints are drifting, long before they fail outright.

SLA proof

Reports and incident history give a client, or a hosting provider, the evidence a conversation needs.

Before you pick a monitoring plan

Two things decide the bill: how many endpoints you need, and whether the vendor meters alerts. Both are covered below.

Downtime tracker and outage log

Every outage logged with its start, end and duration, plus how long each plan keeps the uptime history.

Downtime alerts by phone call

An automated call, SMS and email the moment an endpoint fails, and escalation that repeats until recovery.

Uptime monitoring pricing compared

What eight monitoring tools charge in 2026, real cost per site, and the fees that inflate the invoice.

Website monitoring for agencies

Monitoring a portfolio of client sites from one account, endpoint sizing per client and cost per site.

Uptime monitor pricing

Endpoint counts, check intervals and which plan unlocks SMS and phone call alerts.

Downtime alert services compared

What the alert services for small business sites charge, which of them place a phone call, and how fast an outage reaches a person.

Downtime monitoring

Pingdom SMS alerts cost

What Pingdom SMS credit bundles give you per tier, how fast an outage uses them, and alternatives with calls included.

Ecommerce uptime monitoring

Watching the cart, the checkout and the payment callback as separate endpoints, and why a cached homepage hides a broken store.

UptimeRobot SMS and voice credits

What a credit pack costs per text and per call, how fast one incident burns through it, and why plan bundles arrive only once.

SaaS uptime monitoring

Monitoring the app login, API and health route against your uptime SLA, and why the check interval is part of the SLA math.

Uptime.com pricing and SMS limits
