UptimeRobot vs Site24x7 Pricing With SMS Credits and Cost per Monitor
Site24x7 covers 25 websites for $10 a month, UptimeRobot charges 22 euros for 50 and 41 for 100. Where each one is cheaper, how SMS and call credits change the bill, and when neither fits.

UptimeRobot and Site24x7 are the two cheapest well known uptime monitors, and they get there from opposite directions. Site24x7 Web Uptime costs $10 a month, or $9 billed annually, for 25 websites checked every minute from 32 locations, with extra monitors at $18 per 50. UptimeRobot charges 10 euros a month for 10 monitors, 22 euros for 50 and 41 euros for 100 on its Team plan. Up to about 50 sites Site24x7 is cheaper. Between 100 and 500 the two are close, and UptimeRobot buys you faster checks.
Neither one includes unlimited text or phone alerts. Both meter SMS and voice calls with credits, which is where a team with several people on call should do its own math. All figures below were read from site24x7.com/site24x7-pricing.html and uptimerobot.com/pricing on October 20, 2026.
UptimeRobot vs Site24x7 at a glance

The short version: Site24x7 sells more monitors for the base price, and UptimeRobot sells faster checks as you grow. Everything else, from seats to status pages, follows from that.
How much does UptimeRobot cost compared with Site24x7?
The table below prices both for the number of URLs you actually need to watch. Site24x7 figures stack the $10 Web Uptime base with its monthly monitor packs. UptimeRobot figures are the smallest plan that fits.
| Monitors | UptimeRobot, monthly | Site24x7, monthly | TrackDowntime, monthly (annual per month) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | 10 euros, Solo 10 | $10, base plan | $99 Professional ($49) |
| 25 | 22 euros, Solo 50 | $10, base plan | $99 Professional ($49) |
| 50 | 22 euros, Solo 50 | $28, base plus one 50 pack | $299 Enterprise ($149) |
| 100 | 41 euros, Team | $46, base plus two 50 packs | $299 Enterprise ($149) |
| 200 | 77 euros, Scale 200 | $82, base plus four 50 packs | $299 Enterprise ($149) |
| 300 | 179 euros, Scale 500 | $118, base plus six 50 packs | $299 Enterprise ($149) |
| 500 | 179 euros, Scale 500 | $150, base plus one 500 pack | $299 Enterprise ($149) |
| 1,000 | Enterprise, quoted | $290, base plus two 500 packs | $299 Enterprise ($149) |
Annual billing brings UptimeRobot down by 10 to 15 percent (Solo 10 is 108 euros a year, Scale 500 is 1,788 euros). Site24x7's base drops to $9 a month on an annual contract. If your company only buys software against an approved request, raising a purchase order for the yearly term once is easier than expensing a small monthly card charge in euros.
Two things the table does not show. UptimeRobot checks every 30 seconds from Team up and every 15 seconds on Scale, while Site24x7 Web Uptime stays at 1 minute. And UptimeRobot's 200 to 500 jump is a single step, so 300 monitors cost the same as 500. Site24x7 charges for the packs you actually add.
Is Site24x7 cheaper than UptimeRobot?
Yes, below about 50 monitors and again in the 300 to 500 range. Site24x7 Web Uptime covers 25 websites for $10 a month, where UptimeRobot needs Solo 50 at 22 euros. At 300 monitors Site24x7 is $118 against 179 euros. Between 100 and 200 the two cost almost the same, and UptimeRobot's faster interval decides it.
How SMS and phone call alerts are billed on each
This is where the cheap headline price stops being the whole bill.
UptimeRobot sells one time credit packs in US dollars: 10 credits for $3, 100 for $15, 200 for $25, 500 for $55 and 1,000 for $100. A text to most countries uses 1 credit and a voice call uses 2. Plans include a small starting balance (10 to 20 on Solo, 30 on Team, 50 to 200 on Scale). Team includes 3 notify seats and Scale 5; Solo includes none and sells notify seats as an add-on at checkout.
Site24x7 gives Web Uptime 50 SMS and voice credits a month. Its help documentation says one SMS uses 1 credit, a voice call to a US or Canadian number uses 1 credit and a call to other countries uses 2. Unused credits carry over, and more are bought as alert packs from the subscription page.
Here is a realistic month. Three people should get a text and a call every time a store or client site goes down, and you have ten outages.
| UptimeRobot | Site24x7 | |
|---|---|---|
| Credits per outage (3 people, text plus call) | 9 | 6 |
| Credits for 10 outages | 90 | 60 |
| Included | 30 on Team | 50 a month |
| Out of pocket | About $15 for a 100 pack | One alert pack for the overflow |
Neither number is large. What changes the picture is repetition. If the first call lands at 3 a.m. and nobody picks up, the site stays down until someone looks at a phone. UptimeRobot can repeat a notification on a schedule on paid plans, and each repeat is charged in credits again. On Site24x7 every extra SMS or call you configure draws on the same monthly balance. Fifteen repeat rounds to three people on UptimeRobot is 135 credits for one outage.
Where UptimeRobot wins
- Speed for the money. 30 second checks on Team and 15 seconds on Scale, where Site24x7 Web Uptime stays at a minute.
- Status pages. 100 white label pages on Team and unlimited on Scale, against 3 on Web Uptime.
- Monitor types on one plan. Paid plans include API, heartbeat, DNS, SSL and domain expiry checks.
- A real free tier. 50 monitors at 5 minute checks with email alerts, enough for a hobby project.
The catch is the euro billing on a US card and the per seat cost once more than three or five people need to log in.
Where Site24x7 wins
- Lowest price at 25 sites. $10 a month for 25 websites from 32 locations is hard to beat.
- Pay for the packs you use. Growing from 100 to 300 monitors costs $72 more, not a jump to the next tier.
- A whole platform behind it. Servers, APM, logs and real user monitoring sit in the same account if you need them later.
- US dollar billing and a 30 day trial without a card.
The catch is complexity. Site24x7 sells several plan families (Web Uptime, Web Perf, the all-in-one plans and MSP), and its older pack comparison still shows previous plan names. Our Site24x7 pricing breakdown untangles them, and the UptimeRobot pricing breakdown covers every UptimeRobot tier.
When neither is the right buy
Both tools are excellent at cheap checks. Neither is built to make sure a person wakes up. If your outages have to reach several phones and keep reaching them until the site is back, the credit model works against you.
TrackDowntime takes the opposite trade. Checks cost more (Professional is $99 a month for 25 endpoints at 60 seconds, or $49 a month billed yearly), but alerts are never billed per message. Every phone number on an endpoint gets a call and a text, and both repeat at 5, 10, 15, 20 and 30 minutes and onward until the site recovers. Enterprise is $299 a month, or $149 billed yearly, for unlimited endpoints and unlimited outage history.
So be honest with yourself about which problem you have. If it is "watch 300 URLs cheaply", pick UptimeRobot or Site24x7. If it is "make sure someone answers when the money page breaks", see how downtime alerts by phone call work, compare the plans on pricing, or read the side by side StatusCake vs UptimeRobot comparison if a third tool is on your list.
Which should you choose?
Choose Site24x7 if you watch 25 to 50 sites, or 300 to 500, want US dollar billing, and may add server or application monitoring later.
Choose UptimeRobot if you need 30 second or 15 second checks, many status pages, or you sit between 100 and 200 monitors where the prices meet.
Choose TrackDowntime if several people must get a repeating phone call on every outage, or you want one flat price past 300 endpoints with no credits or packs to manage.
